This is a 1928-29 Chrysler 75, 2-door fixed head Coupe. All steel body. Left hand drive. This is a real attention getter, a rare and beautiful vehicle in excellent useable, original condition. The Chrysler 75 was an up-market and high spec vehicle in its time. It is fitted with a 248.9 cu in, L-head, in-line 6-cylinder cast iron block, producing 75 BHP at 3, 200 rpm. This is one of the most durable engines of its period with 7 main bearings, solid valve lifters and 5.2:1 compression ratio. The brakes are outstanding and way ahead of their time. Hydraulic brakes operating on large 14” drums all round providing almost modern stopping ability. The wooden 10-spoke wheels are fitted with the correct 6.00 x 18” tyres. The car presents beautifully with impressive black and maroon paintwork, good chrome, excellent whitewall tyres on beautiful wood-spoked artillery wheels. The vinyl roof is in great condition. The dickie (rumble) seat is in excellent condition. The boot lid needs a new latch. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. We fitted a new timing chain. The wheels and tyres are in excellent condition. The dash is complete and original but instruments are not working. The interior appears to have been restored and has been slightly damaged during the time in storage.
